“We don’t need a bio”, No Trigger say about themselves. They allow their new album, Dr. Album, to speak for them. The first full-length in ten years is jam-packed with anarchic anthems, anti-fascism, anti-theism, and riotous hooks.
No Trigger formed in Massachusetts, US, in 2001, inspired by the rising, modern melodic hardcore scene at the time. They signed to Nitro Records (AFI, Guttermouth, The Vandals) in 2005 and released their debut album Canyoneer the following year. Periods of inactivity followed that sparked rumours on a disbanding; however, the band returned to the original line-up which had first recorded their EPs on the 2010 release Be Honest, a two-track single that began incorporating pop punk elements into their sound. In 2012, they returned with the full-length album Tycoon, and finally, in 2022, the EP Acid Lord was to be their teaser for Dr. Album, a record that sparked a new start and the return to the stage for No Trigger.
No Trigger can do it both: The big festival stage or the cozy youth club. They are joining the likes of Comeback Kid and Bad Nerves at Bergamo’s DIY festival LOW-L fest, perform alongside Pennywise and Turnstile at a historical landmark in Alabama, and support social youth work with a show at a Bavarian café. Throughout their EU tour, the band is supported by Uberyou, fellow punks based in Switzerland, and CF98 from Krakow. Both bands have recently released a new album as well, and are rarely playing in Germany. No Trigger plus support are coming to Berlin’s homely Badehaus on June 22nd – don’t miss out on their energetic hooks and vibrant live show!
