Berlin-based, Irish-origin indie-rock band COMA 54 is set to release their first EP Punkt Eins on October 10th 2024, marking a significant milestone in the band’s journey.
While previously released singles have embraced more melodic set pieces, Punkt Eins, the single off the EP with the same name, goes for the head-down, balls-to-the-wall punkesque ramrod approach. But does that make it any less effective? Well, no.
From the beginning, what has marked Coma 54 out has been their pure blood-up energy, coupled with an unflinching determination to not let up until they’ve taken out everyone in the place. And even while this new single doesn’t get too melodic, the songwriting prowess and a determination to get in, hit the listener hard and get out before anyone has a chance of getting bored is as present as ever.
The EP consists of new single Punkt Eins and the two earlier released singles, again keeping everything short and to the point.

After a successful string of singles, including “Flow” and “Rapture,” both of which garnered playlisting support from Apple Music and Amazon Music, the EP promises to showcase the dynamic evolution of their sound. This release will be their third collaboration with Orian Musik, setting the stage for their highly anticipated full-length album, expected in 2025.

Originally from Cork, Ireland, COMA 54 has called Berlin home since 2016, where their music has
blossomed in the city’s vibrant music scene. Known for their intense live performances, the band has built
a strong touring history across Europe, recently returning from Poland, where they began recording for
their forthcoming album.
The band has enjoyed extensive radio support, with tracks spinning on RTE 1, RTE 2fm, and Today FM in
Ireland, BBC in the UK, and Germany’s Radio Eins and Radio Fritz. Their unique blend of indie-rock,
combined with post-punk energy, has cemented their reputation as a band on the rise.
