Tash Sultana

September 2 @ 17:00 21:00

w/ guest John Cashman

Tash Sultana has made a rapid ascent – from the streets of Melbourne to the biggest halls in the world in just over three years. Tash sold out the O2 Academy in Brixton three times in a row, the Columbiahalle in Berlin twice and the Palladium in Cologne three times in a row. Always solo, with four or five guitars and all the other instruments like bass, keyboards, flutes, trumpet and more that Sultana is used to bringing to the concerts. Tash has been making music since the age of three. It all started with a guitar from her grandfather. Since then, Tash has been self-taught and has mastered more than twelve instruments.

For the upcoming tour, Sultana has announced that, for the first time, she will be accompanied by her own live band. This is only logical, as the sound has expanded and refined over time. As interesting and exciting as it is to listen to and watch Sultana’s virtuoso mastery of all the instruments, combined with the loop station, it was all the more noticeable at some points that there is still much more musical potential lying dormant. So we can be curious to see how the songs from the “Notion” double platinum EP and the debut album “Flow State” – for which Sultana was awarded the ARIA Award – will be arranged and how the upcoming new songs will sound in the big format. Tash will, of course, weave in a solo piece or two, and it is safe to assume that the act will also perform with its usual great energy on stage in a large line-up. Tash Sultana is currently working on the new album “Terra Firma”. With the pre-released song “Pretty Lady” and the brand new single “Greed”, you can already get a taste of the new work.
