Appearing at the 1st Edition of the Feral Folk Festival in collaboration with Roxy Rawson and Famous Gold Watch Studios, presented by indieBerlin, will be one of Berlin’s most mesmerising folk-noir artists, Lotta St. Joan.

Lotta St Joan makes modern folk music for melancholic souls. Composing, producing and performing her songs since 2019, her music is reminiscent of classic folk greats such as Joni Mitchell and Joan Baez, while also allowing for contemporary influences such as those of Laura Marling, Daughter and Adrianne Lenker.

In January 2021, Lotta released her self-produced debut album “HANDS”, firmly establishing herself in the thriving Berlin folk scene. The album critical acclaim from Deutschlandfunk Kultur, Folk Radio and Music Reviews among many others, including invitations for in-show performances and interviews with the likes of Radio Eins and Radio Fritz.

During 2022, Lotta St Joan wrote her sophomore album ‘Song for the Undecided’ which was produced in the Spring of 2023 at The Famous Gold Watch Studio by Cameron James Laing. Set for worldwide release in digital and physical formats on 22.03.2024, ‘Song for the Undecided’ marks the beginning of an evolution in her musical palette, combining the nostalgia and warmth of her classic folk forebearers with sweeping orchestral flourishes and full band arrangements.

Previously part of the Berlin-based label collective The Famous Gold Watch Records, Lotta St Joan signed to Kick The Flame Publishing and the newly founded Must Be Mad Records in 2023.
