Most Wanted Music, in case you don’t know it, is Berlin’s top music industry conference and Germany’s second most important, after the Reeperbahn Festival. But, you know, it’s in Berlin, so that makes it automatically cooler anyway 🙂
MW:M takes place every year in November, and this year it falls on the 15-16 November. Although it’s billed as running from the 14th, but on the 14th it’s the welcome party that is the Listen to Berlin Awards Show (and don’t forget, you need a separate ticket for that).
It’s also the most forward-looking music conference around, its eye firmly fixed on what’s going on right now – and what will probably be going on next year and most important of all, how musicians, labels and everyone in the (especially independent) music industry should be preparing for this, even embracing it.
There’s an absurd wealth of wisdom, knowledge, know-how, ideas and talent on display: from speakers to workshops to get-togethers to innovative ideas like a bus that drives a group from the conference around in the evening to lots of various clubs around town, for out-of-towners to get a feel for the city’s nightlife.
Illustrious speakers include:
- Andrew Campbell, CEO of Steam Music Group
- Olaf Kretschmar, CEO of Berlin Music Commission
- Melissa Perales of Music Pool Berlin and M-Soundtrack
- Hazel Savage, VP Music Intelligence from Soundcloud
- Bettina Schöll from the Austrian Music Export agency
- Evely Sieber, Head of Sales and Partnerships at the Reeperbahn Festival
…and many more.
