Berlin once again does what it does best: brings together the most diverse heroes of the local scene on one stage, from an indie queen to jazz-inflected hip-hop and noisy songwriters. On September 26, Haus der Sinne hosts the Perfect Match Festival with Kitty Solaris, YANEQ & CHERIE, Sable Season and MARX.

Kitty Solaris: Berlin's "Secret Indie Queen"
Kitty Solaris is one of the most consistent figures in Berlin indie: in 2024 she released her ninth album James Bond (Solaris Empire), praised by Rolling Stone, Kulturnews, Musikexpress, Laut.de and others. The tracklist ranged from guitar folk to danceable electro experiments.
Her music combines direct, catchy lyrics with a textured blend of guitars and synths that works equally well on headphones and on the dancefloor.
YANEQ & CHERIE: Hip-Hop with a Jazz Foundation
YANEQ makes analog, shimmering beats on a jazz foundation and writes German lyrics you want to reread like poetry. This is hip-hop without aggression or posturing, rather unhurried, clever and ironic. Critics call him "Landhaus-Bobo" as opposed to "Ghetto King": a man in a bathrobe playing croquet while everyone else swings in an "aggressive loop".
At the festival he performs as YANEQ & CHERIE - a live combination of rhythm, jazz and word.
Sable Season: Indie Folk and Bedroom Pop from Berlin
Sable Season is a Berlin quartet (guitar, drums, bass, keys) that blends tender acoustic melodies, cozy lo-fi textures, analog synths and thoughtful storytelling. Their sound is intimate indie folk with elements of bedroom pop: perfect for an evening when you want to both dance and dream.
MARX: Songwriting, Noise and the History of Berlin Squats
The collective MARX is releasing a new single Good Bye Atelier SHOXXXBOXXX — an emotional tribute to their longtime creative space, which closed due to rising rent. Atelier SHOXXXBOXXX (founded in 2011 by artist SHOXXX) was a place for concerts, exhibitions and meetups: Mark Reeder, Kitty Solaris, Yaneq, Jim Avignon, Puppetmastaz and many others played there.
The single and video speak about gentrification in Berlin and the loss of artistic spaces. In their live set, MARX combine songwriting, noise and political narrative into one story about how the city is changing and who it is pushing out.
