Imagine Dragons are releasing their new studio album “Loom” on 28 June. To get in the mood, they presented the song “Eyes Closed” and are now presenting a new version, which was created together with J Balvin. The man from Medellín can be heard as a feature guest on the track, a collab that is sure to surprise many, as very different genres come together. The Columbian reggaeton superstar is one of the most successful Latino artists of the moment and the result is well worth giving a few minutes to.

Imagine Dragons continue to redefine rock in the 21st century in their own way. The GRAMMY® Award-winning quartet from Las Vegas is considered one of the biggest rock bands in the world: with a total of 74 million albums sold, 65 million digital songs and over 160 billion streams. They dominate radio stations and are one of only four bands to ever have consecutive top 5 singles on alternative radio, and the only band to repeat the feat. The band was also nominated for “Group of the Year 2022” at the People’s Choice Awards 2022. Most recently, they received an MTV VMA nomination for “Video For Good” for their acclaimed music video “Crushed”.

With “Eyes Closed”, Imagine Dragons gave us a first taste of the upcoming longplayer. The production of “Loom” was entirely in the hands of Imagine Dragons themselves and their long-term collaborators, the Swedish producer duo Mattman & Robin, in order to find the perfect balance between their classic sound and some new ideas, which they really enjoyed during the creation process. Last year Imagine Dragons took a well-deserved break for the first time, perhaps the longest in several years, which they dedicated entirely to their friends and families. Refreshed and recharged with new inspiration, they got back together in the studio and were able to give free rein to their creativity, which you can clearly hear on “Loom”. It will be interesting to see what else Imagine Dragons will surprise us with this year. There has already been one surprise with the announcement of their extensive North American tour, which starts on 30 July in Camden, New Jersey, takes the band through 29 cities and ends on 22 October in LA.
